It’s not like I’ve always loved flowers. Or even knew how much I loved the outdoors. But I’ve always loved beautiful, happy things. And it turns out flowers are both those things. For me, there’s nothing like watching the smile that spreads across your face when you hold flowers in your hands.
Growing flowers takes a lot of hard work and patience. The reward is harvesting the blooms and turning them into a bouquet that’ll brighten your home. Running my own business wasn’t really what I saw myself doing. But it turns out, I love when you come by my shop and leave with a smile - because then I know I’ve shared a little joy with you.
I am a Christian and I see the incredible work of God in nature. My hope is that you feel His joy and love when you hold these beautiful blooms. Thank God for flowers!
The Farm
There’s a lot that goes into one bouquet of flowers. Tedious seeding, exciting little sprouts, transplanting, weeding, watering, fertilizing, caring, stressing, hoping, and then suddenly the blooms begin to erupt. Then there’s harvesting, hydrating, and arranging. It’s work you’ll do if you love it.
But the truth is, not everything that we love to see in bouquets grows perfectly in our climate. And some flowers are a lot more labour intensive than others. That’s why we choose strategically which flowers it works for us to grow. We try to source our imports from right here in BC but some do come from further away.
Currently we produce what we need in a 1/4 acre of land and this year have added a greenhouse! Our goal is that our flowers have the ultimate longevity - or as we coined it, zevity. So we bring you Blooms with Zevity..
